Easy to clean both pieces
A brush between the keys and a wipe over the mouse takes five minutes a month. Neither has developed a sticky surface or a shine.

No interference with a WiFi router
The router sits on the same desk. I have not seen a dropped keystroke or a stuttering pointer, even during large downloads.

Takes a knock off the desk
The mouse fell onto a tiled floor and the keyboard was pulled off once by a cable. Both still work with only a small scuff to show for it.

Works with an older desktop
My parents' machine runs an old version of Windows. The set was recognised immediately, with no driver hunt and no compatibility warnings.

Better than the set it replaced
The previous one had a keyboard that flexed and a mouse that skipped. Both problems are absent here, and the price was similar.
